FAQs

In general, perforation means punching holes in the material. So, perforated film is a film with small holes that allows you to print the desired graphic on one side while maintaining visibility from the inside out. (This is also why it is labeled One Way Vision, from English visibility from one side.)

You are most likely to encounter such film on buses, where you see advertising from outside the bus and still see outside from inside.

For someone who strongly dislikes air conditioning, solar films may be an ideal solution because, even though they do not cool the room, they extend the time before the room heats up by several hours.

Anti-sun (solar and sometimes also mirror) films for windows serve to reflect solar energy. In simple terms, the sunlight does not pass through the window into the room but is reflected back.

A major advantage is that all solar films offer high UV protection, so your furniture and other items will not fade from the sun as quickly.

The answer depends on the type of film used. In short, yes, all solar films reflect a certain amount of sunlight and thus slightly reduce visibility; however, modern solutions are available.

With some types of film, the room may get a slight blue tint (as shown in the picture), but if you want to maintain visibility, we recommend using more expensive solar films from 3M, which will only reduce visibility by a few percent, and you would not notice that there is film on the window when looking from the outside.

Manually. No chemical will help.

The film must be mechanically removed using hands, various scrapers, etc.

In general, the longer the film has been on the window, the more difficult it is to remove. (It tears into small pieces and needs to be scraped off with special tools to avoid damage to the substrate.)

After removing - scraping off the film from the window, it is necessary to also remove any residual adhesive left after the film. We recommend removing residual adhesive with special adhesive remover chemicals.

Care for window films is not special.

The most important point is to let the film adhere to the glass after installation (usually, letting the film sit for a week or two after installation is enough, and the sun and heat will do the rest).

Window films can be cleaned with standard cleaning agents. We recommend increasing caution when cleaning the edges of the film to avoid damage or partial peeling (in such cases, we recommend carefully cutting the partially peeled film with a knife to prevent further peeling).

The basis is perfect cleaning of the window from dirt and dust. It is crucial to pay particular attention to the edges of the window, which must be thoroughly cleaned because the film may start to peel off at the edges.

Next, proceed according to the type of film you want to apply to the window. Most window films are applied by first spraying the window with clean or soapy water, and then carefully "placing" the film on it. The water allows the adhesive to not dry immediately and you can still manipulate the film slightly.

Then, just slowly press out the water, trim the edges, and let the film "bake" nicely in the sunshine.

This process is quite challenging and requires special tools.
