FAQs

Removing the wrap from a vehicle is labor-intensive manual work. In most cases, it is important that the wrap is removed by a professional.

With high-quality wraps, removing them even after a long time is not an issue and leaves no adhesive residue. However, generally, the longer the wrap remains on the car, the harder it is to remove.

If you decide to remove the wrap yourself, you will need to acquire professional adhesive remover chemicals.

Besides professional chemicals, a certain level of skill is also necessary, as improper removal of the wrap can damage the paint, which can increase your expenses.

Whether you want to apply a small learner sticker or add tuning decals to your car or motorcycle, here are some useful tips.

The first and most important step is to clean the surface where you want to apply the sticker. Use a suitable degreaser that you have at home (dish soap, technical benzine, or alcohol, etc.).

After thorough cleaning, measure and fix the sticker in place (for example, with masking tape).

Now comes the actual application. Peel back part of the sticker from its backing, fold the backing underneath the sticker, and slowly apply the sticker to the surface.

In general, the cost of a car wrap ranges from a few hundred to several thousand euros. It is not possible to set a universal price for every wrap, as each customer's requirements are different. Every quote is customized to the customer's needs.

To simplify things, we can say:

  • The cost of a full car wrap (complete body coverage with wrap) starts from €1500, but it can go higher.
  • For partial car wraps, prices are approximately as follows:
    • Vehicle details (side mirrors, handles, trims, chrome strips...) start at €150
    • Roof approximately from €250
    • Hood approximately €300
    • Car sides approximately €700

The cost of advertising wraps is almost always lower than full wraps.

  • Simple advertising wraps (cut text, single color...) start at €80
  • More complex advertising wraps (text, printed images, multiple colors...) start from €400
  • Full advertising wraps (printed advertising covering the entire vehicle) start from €1500
  • A separate category is magnetic advertising for cars, which can be customized, and the price depends on the desired magnet size.

Considering the diverse imagination of each customer, all options can be combined to create a unique design.

The preparation for wrapping alone takes a lot of time and includes thorough cleaning of every part of the car.

Wrapping a vehicle requires caution and complete focus during the entire process to avoid damaging the vehicle.

Full vehicle wrapping takes several hours to days.

Wrapping must be done in suitable conditions and at the ideal temperature.

Car wrap films themselves are a relatively expensive component.

To create a graphic design for a car wrap, please contact us.

We always prepare a graphic design (car wrap proposal) based on the customer's preferences. After refining the details and final approval, the wrap is applied.

We can create graphic designs for all commonly available vehicle types. Our database includes more than 12,000 vehicle models across over 58,000 unique variations.

This allows us to prepare wraps not only for personal cars but also for vans, trucks, motorcycles, buses, heavy vehicles, and industrial machines.

A car wrap is not a permanent solution. Wrap manufacturers generally estimate a lifespan of 5 to 7 years. However, with low-quality cheap wraps, often ordered online and imitating well-known brands, the lifespan may not even reach 1 year.

These wraps can even damage the vehicle's body by "baking" into the paint, making removal very difficult.

From experience, we can say that the lifespan also depends on the conditions in which the car operates. For a garaged vehicle used infrequently, the lifespan is significantly higher than for a car constantly used in harsh conditions.

For a freshly wrapped car, wrap manufacturers recommend allowing the adhesive to set and bond perfectly to the surface for at least 1 week (longer in colder weather). After this period, it is safe to wash the vehicle.

However, caution is needed. The wraps can be mechanically damaged. Therefore, we do not recommend washing the car with high-pressure washers, and we also advise against using car washes with "brushes."

In general: The legal regulations regarding car wraps are not yet fully defined under current legal conditions.

The law only mentions the obligation to report a permanent change of a vehicle's color (Road Traffic Act 8/2009, § 116 paragraph 1, letter c). However, a car wrap is a temporary color change (a permanent change involves repainting), so wrapping a car does not fall under this obligation.

Among businesses engaged in car wrapping, it is said that if more than 50% of the vehicle is covered with wrap, the owner should report this change. However, we have not found any such legal requirement, and the traffic inspectorate confirmed that only a permanent color change must be reported.

We believe that the only issue could arise at the vehicle inspection (STK), where it may be necessary to request an originality check first.

(Drafted: 20.06.2020)

We also asked the vehicle inspection (STK) directly about vehicle wraps:

"During the technical inspection, the vehicle's color is determined based on the subjective judgment of the technician performing the inspection."

This means that if you have a white car wrapped in red film, during the inspection, the technician should be able to write down that the vehicle is white by simply seeing a part of the original car, and the inspecting officer should follow the technician's assessment.

In short: if the technician at the inspection is reasonable, you shouldn't have any issues.
